The books layout is influenced by the Bauhaus movement and it entirely grid-based. This is to showcase and connect the authors upbringing in Germany in the 30's with the story itself.
And to bring the author back to her roots.

The font used is New Order, as is it's a contemporary font with inspiration from around this time period.

The book design was originally created back in 2019, with a much more traditional layout approach, however, it only felt right to re-create the redesign in a bold and modern version.
